Volunteers are needed to help out at the Levels & Ruapuna rounds of the nationals road race championship, to be held January 16 – 1 and January 23 – 25 respectively. If you can help please contact Wendy on (03) 359-8676.

November 26
Some riders had problems with their transponders being recorded by the timing system. This could be caused by mounting problems
Instructions for installing an AMB transponder on a motorcycle can be downloaded here.
Note: Ensure that the transponder has a clear view to the track with
no metal or carbon fiber underneath.

The second round of King of Ruapuna and King of Canterbury was held today.
Visit MyLaps to view the transponder results for today's racing (look under motorcycle racing). Transponder results for KoR & KoC round 1 & the Ruapuna round of the SI Cup have also been uploaded to the MyLaps website.

Preliminary results from the lap timing system (for those people who transponders) for King Of Ruapuna Round 1 meeting held November 8 are available (results lap times). These are zipped files with all the results & lap times respectively.
The laps times for the 2nd King of Ruapuna race for the Streetstocks and Buckets will be available next week.

HELPERS WANTED
To be able to use transponders at club days we need to train a group of people to run the system at club days. You don't have to be a computer expert - common sense and a sense of humor will help All the training you want or need will be given.
You should be available for every second or third clubday from sign-in to the end of the last race. You get to work in a room with a great view of the racing sheltered from the sun, rain, and wind. You get a free lunch.
This is a job that would suit a parent, brother/sister, friend of a rider who wants to be involved but doesn't want to be out in the weather.
If you can help please contact Wendy Ashmore or see the transponder desk at the club day on the 8th of November.
With your help we will be able to post results & lap times during each club day.

The events calendar has been updated to include events in November, December 2008, January & February 2009.
Note: The November 8th King of Ruapuna Round 1 event is being held on election day! You can cast an early ballot from Wednesday October 22nd. See the how to advance vote website for details of how & where you can cast your vote early.
Please vote - it is your democratic right which others have fought & died for, use it wisely.

Entry forms can be e-mailed to craig.wendy@clear.net.nz and payment made direct to the club's bank account Westpac Armagh Street 030855 0359377 00 if riders prefer. Riders should need to bring proof of their internet banking payment if they enter after the cut-off time.(It is a good idea to do this in case of any problems.)
